IAero Airways Jobs – IAero Airways Line Maintenance / Hangar Mechanic Careers Opportunity

iAero Airways is seeking highly motivated Line Maintenance / Hangar Mechanics for our Maintenance departments, with open positions at our Greensboro, NC and Miami, FL locations.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for properly performing all work assigned to him/her in accordance with approved maintenance procedures, for recording of all work performed, and assuming responsibility for that work as indicated by his/her signature or initials.
• Notifies the direct supervisor of any discrepancies or un-airworthy conditions found during the performance of work assigned.
• Notifies the direct supervisor if any dispute arises with an Inspector
• Notifies the direct supervisor immediately about any conditions that would create a problem relating to parts, materials, airworthiness or workmanship.
• Must possess sufficient hand tools to perform his/her duties as a mechanic.
• When directed he/she will attend any maintenance training program the Company may establish.
• Responsible for completing all required paperwork entries in a clean, neat, and legible manner.
• Maintains their working area in a clean and orderly manner.
• Supervises any un-certificated person employed by the Company and performing maintenance to Company aircraft. 

Qualifications

The following outlines our minimum requirements for applicants:

• Report to the Station Manager or Hangar Manager, as applicable
• Holds a current mechanic certificate with Airframe and/or Powerplant rating(s), or a Repairman Certificate with applicable privileges and limitations to the duties to be performed
• Must meet recency of experience requirements as outlined in General Maintenance Manual Section 2.4.
• Be able to demonstrate that he/she has successfully performed the work in question at an earlier date
• Possess a working knowledge of Company Maintenance Manuals
• Have completed Company indoctrination training within 30 days of being employed
• Have completed Company aircraft familiarization course within 180 days from initial employment or already have documented training from another source on the type of aircraft on which maintenance is being performed
• The FAA has found that within the last 24 months the mechanic was able to perform the particular work:
  • For 6 months the mechanic has used his certificate and rating
  • Technically supervised other mechanics
  • Supervised in an executive capacity the maintenance or alteration of an aircraft
  • Or any combination of the above
• Must meet the initial and recurrent training requirements identified in the training chapter within the GMM
• Capabilities of communicating in English.
• Capabilities of taking directions from Maintenance Control and work/ trouble shooting Aircraft technical issues independently. 

Desired Experience/Skills

• Minimum 5 years as Aircraft Technician
• High school diploma or equivalent

Qualifications:

1. Be qualified through training, experience and expertise;
2. To the extent of their responsibilities, have a full understanding of the

following materials with respect to the certificate holder’s operation:

1. Swift’s Maintenance Program;
2. The certificate holder’s operations specifications;
3. All appropriate maintenance and airworthiness requirements of

Parts 1, 21, 23, 25, 43, 45, 47, 65, 91, and 121

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Reports to the Senior Manager of Maintenance Planning
2. Responsible for Swift Air’s day to day maintenance planning.
3. Ensure Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMP) is

maintained and revised in a timely manner.

4. Responsible to ensure that outstations, the Quality Department, Purchasing

and Maintenance Control receive the maintenance requirements

four weeks in advance.

5. Develop and implement procedures and systems for the efficient planning

of major maintenance, measurement of maintenance productivity,

and management of engines and Auxiliary Powerplant Units (APUs).

6. Oversee the build-up of work packages for aircraft scheduled checks

and other special maintenance events.

7. Coordinate with Purchasing to assure all necessary parts and tooling is

prepared for all checks and modification visits.

8. Work closely with OCC to ensure maintenance ground time is maintained

for assigned tasks.

9. Coordinate swapping of aircraft and determine best routing technique.
10. Research, maintain data, and monitor trends concerning aircraft maintenance,

labor hours, span time, and other requirements.

11. Perform other duties assigned by the Senior Manager of Maintenance Planning or the Director of Maintenance.
