The Tool Crib Operator will perform all Tool crib duties of dispensing serviceable tools and equipment to all operational staff for maintenance activities. Ensure tooling and equipment is properly maintained, and schedule servicing / repairs in conjunction with the maintenance providers. Support the operational business unit in hangar preparation for all maintenance checks ensuring the provision of aircraft tooling and equipment in the area of responsibility. Conduct administrative and compliance tasks relating to Facilities, GSE and Tooling as directed by the Facilitator. Support the business in on-going Business Improvement initiatives
To be successful in the role, you will:
- Ensure total tool compliance in accordance to regulators such as CASA, Qantas Group Shared Services along with Qantas Policy such as Qantas Engineering Procedures Manual
- Perform Tool crib duties of dispensing serviceable tools and equipment to all operational staff for maintenance activities
- Handle and register requests for issuing of tools and equipment in timely manner.
- Ensure tooling, equipment is properly maintained, and schedule servicing / repairs in conjunction with the maintenance providers
- Perform minor rectification/maintenance on aircraft tooling and equipment in accordance with the relevant approved documentation
- Follow up on non-returned items or transfer to following shift
- Provide support for the transfer and acceptance of tooling and equipment from other national and international tool cribs
- Coordinate with the Facilitator/Leading Hand the calibration of tooling and equipment in a timely manner
- Support minor rectification/maintenance on tooling and equipment in accordance with the relevant approved documentation
- Control and administration of all tooling databases and tooling calibration periods
- Identifying tooling issues for rectification.
- Compliance with Corporate and Divisional/Departmental Service Standards
- Compliance with Corporate Occupational health and Safety Responsibilities Standard.
