Royal Jet Full Jobs Description
The Development Engineer-AMP (Aircraft Maintenance Programmes) will oversee, manage and provide all activities concerned with the development and production of Aircraft Maintenance Programme. This will include the development to encompass needs both in the long and short term, of the airline maintenance planning and aircraft maintenance development. This role is responsible for providing development of the AMP to increase reliability, reduce costs and achieve greater aircraft utilisation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Tasked with ensuring that the Aircraft Maintenance Programme (AMP) is controlled, managed, and developed as required by the continuous airworthiness requirements of the regulator, OEM and Royal Jet reliability programme.
- Review and analyse MPD/MRB revisions, evaluate variations to the aircraft maintenance program and amend the AMP for regulatory approval. Perform updates to the RJ computer system i.e. TRAX, CAMP or CMP.
- Working with Maintenance team in relation to work packaging in order to ensure that the maintenance planned enables optimum aircraft availability to support the operational flying programme and efficient and cost-effective planning of maintenance.
- Working with the reliability section to ensure that the recommendations introduced into the AMP both in relation to escalation and de-escalation are appropriate.
- Conduct post lay-up reviews with the Maintenance Repair Organization (MRO) to identify opportunities for task effectiveness and efficiency in order to reduce maintenance cost and improv e reliability. Responsible for effective task card management associated with AMP. Prepare and/or amend Task Cards/Work Instructions for all maintenance task requirements including specific recommendations issued by holders of the Type Certificate (TC), Supplemental Type Certificate (STC), major repair design approval to ensure effective task card management associated with the AMP.
- Review availability and correctness/latest revision of applicable maintenance data. Identify items which are related to ETOPS, RVSM as well as classification of Critical Task .
- Responsible for coordinating regular meetings required for the management of AMP.
- Responsible for AMP alignment with respect to the phase -in and phase-out of aircraft and assist in the development of associated work scopes during the delivery and lease return process.
- Development and/or amendment of procedures associated with the management of AMP.
- Liaising with the regulator as required for the management of the approval of AMP.
Skills
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience or demonstrable experience in an aircraft maintenance planning, engineering and or tech services environment
- Degree in Aeronautical / Aerospace / Engineering
- Good understanding of current aircraft planning systems and techniques and their relation to aircraft maintenance programmes
- Knowledge on Safety/Airworthiness Awareness and Civil Aviation regulations
- Good technical report writing skills.
- Use of IT systems including TRAX, CAMP or CMP
- Ensure and comply safety, health and environmental procedures.
- Strong verbal, written Communication skills, planning, organizing, and integration skills
- Strong knowledge in the development and implementation of policies & procedures
