Role Summary: 

The vehicle and ground maintenance position involves performing regular maintenance and repairs on vehicles and equipment, as well as maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the surrounding grounds. Responsibilities may include conducting routine inspections, performing minor repairs, conducting basic upkeep such as cleaning and painting, and ensuring that equipment is in good working condition. The position may also require operating vehicles and equipment, as well as keeping accurate records of maintenance activities. Strong attention to detail, technical skills, and a commitment to safety are essential for this role.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties Include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform preventative maintenance on ARS support and tour vehicles.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues that may be reported from the operations team.
  • Keep maintenance records on all vehicles.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines relating to inspections and maintenance of the fleet.
  • Trimming brush, clearing all trails.
  • Pest control.
  • Trash and debris removal.
  • Planting and pruning.
  • Safety inspections to identify potential hazards and taking steps to mitigate them.
  • Communicate with other staff and management to coordinate activities and ensure that the grounds are maintained in a safe and efficient manner.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:     

  • Knowledge of vehicle and equipment maintenance: Understanding of maintenance procedures and techniques for vehicles and equipment, including how to diagnose problems, make repairs, and perform routine maintenance.
  • Knowledge of ground maintenance: Understanding of landscaping and lawn care techniques, including how to plant and care for trees, shrubs, and flowers, how to maintain lawns, and how to operate and maintain irrigation systems.
  • Technical skills: Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools, as well as specialized equipment used for vehicle and grounds maintenance.
  • Attention to detail: Ability to notice even small changes or issues that could affect the safety, appearance, or functionality of the equipment or grounds.
