 Qatar Airways Senior Cargo Sales Executive Jobs Description

Qatar Airways (QR) have embarked on an exciting transformation journey to change how we interact with our customers. As part of this journey, we are now recruiting for the role of Senior Cargo Sales Executive.

Based out of Chicago – ORD you will be responsible for exceednig and achieving budgeted revenue for the assigned station.  You will proactively protect existing business and consistently explore new opportunities through creating maximum awareness of QR’s products and services.  ensuring quality customer service and smooth cargo operation of station.

Specific Accountabilities include:

  • Plan, direct and control all selling and marketing activities of the station and penetrate the local market to secure new sources of revenue and surpass set revenue budgets.
  • Prepare a business and marketing plan in order to optimize revenue opportunities and maximize QR’s presence in the market.
  • Maintain regular contacts with the cargo industry (agent, key clients, business partners etc.).
  • Supplement sales calls made by the sales force, to establishcontacts and maimize QR’s exposure to the marketplace (increase product awareness).
  • Supervise the sales team to optimize cargo revenue production and develop/optimize their potentials.
  • Research competitor benchmarking using compliant approaches.
  • Ensure QR’s participation in sales campaigns and public events, collecting sales leads for circulation to concerned departments and stations.
  • Assist customers/clients with all information related to booking/forwarding/delivery liasing with local GHA’s and with Head Office Cargo dept. to ensure satisfacroty service provided by QR.
  • Educate agents/clients with all QR procedures regarding the prevailing standards for booking/delivering issues from time to time and by paying agents regular sales visits to generate maximimum revenue.
  • Maintain database of all agents and customers of QR Cargo for easy referral.
  • Perform other duties related to their position as directed by the Head of Dept.

Qualifications

About You – The successful person will have:

  • Experience minimum 4 years of job related experience.
  • BA degree.
  • Ability to speak and write English fluently.
  • Presentation/Negotiation skills.
  • Customer Service Skills.
  • Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow.
  • Strong Mentoring and coaching skills.
  • Ability to train and develop subordianates skills.
  • Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
  • Sales or marketing courses.
