Qatar Airways Manager Product Development Jobs Description
In this interesting role, you will be responsible to support, research, create, develop and implement products and service concepts across various service areas especially product development and service design. You will also be responsible for all new as well as current product enhancements, product redesign. You will manage professionals who will assist the department in developing products of high standard and set a niche in the market of aviation by introducing state-of-the-art product concepts that rival competitors.
To achieve success in this role you will need to:
- Actively participate in the formulation of company product development strategy in alignment with business goals, desired customer experience, customer feedback.
- Be responsible for the development and direction of design, research aimed at improving current products and generating ideas for new products and services. Develop process to liaise and instruct manufacturers and suppliers.
- Be responsible for key product development projects, provide suggestions and advice on design and module changes to employees within the department.
- Recommend, develop and create new products consistent with pre-determined new product development strategies established by the Company.
- Monitor the testing and evaluation of products based on industry best practice and provide guidance and management of the process when necessary.
- Ensure that interaction within internal teams are carried out smoothly and effectively thereby ensuring that quality, price, sustainability and overall look and feel of the product specifications are as per QACC standard.
- Check food preparation, cost, quality, quantity and portion control daily.

Qualifications
You should have a High School Qualification, Vocational Qualification, Diploma or Equivalent with Minimum 9 years of job-related experience OR Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 8 years of job-related experience.
In addition, you will have the following job specific skills:
- Good spoken & written English
- Ability to communicate on various levels to include management, customers, client, and associate
- Managerial skills – Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate’s skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
